No Jacket Required in St. Croix

The weather is simply perfect in St. Croix. The average high temperature is the same whether you are planning a visit in January or July.

Plan on wearing clothes for mid-80’s temps during the day. This includes casual cottons, shorts, polo shirts, sun dresses, flip flops and sandals. Although you may want to pack a light sweater for cooler evening temps (generally between 73 and 78 degrees ) and the gentle ocean breezes, you can surely leave your jackets at home.

Another tip for packing? Leave your dress jackets at home, too. This is a casual, laid-back vacation. Unless you plan on dining at a premier, upscale establishment that requires dinner jackets, you don’t need to pack any jackets at all. The locals and tourists tend to dress in casual-island-cool clothing. Men seldom wear ties or formal wear. Even most weddings held in St. Croix feature beach-inspired attire.
